our very first christmas tree

On Saturday Scott and I made the trek to Walmart to find our perfect tree. Yes, we purchased our first fake tree. I was very hesitant to make this step toward plastic, only to be flooded with feelings of joy when the tree was up and lit in under five munites. Yipee! The only thing we are missing is the wonderful pine scent radiating through our tiny apart-Glade plug-ins, here we come!

We picked out our very first ornament for our very first tree and our very first Christmas together. What an exciting time it is for us! Naturally, our first ornament is a weiner dog! Scott doesn't know this yet but this small weiner dog hanging on the branch of our tree is likely to be the closest he will be (besides the famous nightgown) to owning one of these crazy little dogs.

We decorated our tree with brilliant ornaments (thanks again Jackie). This is allowed because we have already celebrated our first Thanksgiving with the Lalor crew.

During our Thanksgiving meal, which was absolutly delicious, we took turns expressing gratitude for our many blessings. Scott and I are especially grateful for our great families and for our new and wonderful marriage!
