Sandals in the Snow

With the semester coming to an end, I decided it would be a nice treat to hit up the slopes for a day. I have had two lift tickets staring at me from the corner of my desk all winter long. My sister and I packed up our boards and boots and headed to the mountain. When we got to the Sundance parking lot, it was nearly vacant. I didn't think twice about this, after all, most people are up to their ears in studying at this point in the semester. Lucky for me, I am an English major and I turned in a million projects last week-making my finals week a breeze!

We got out of the car to get or gear on and noticed that the lifts were at a standstill with a big sign reading "Sundance is closed for the Winter Season."

We walked away feeling sad, embarassed, and dissapointed. As we reached the car, a family of bikers in shorts and t-shirts passed us.

  1. ha ha! This is a great story. I love it. Have a good breezy finals week! Mine shouldn't be too bad, although I have decided to celebrate (aka movies all day long) BEFORE I start studying. Oops!
