On Friday, we went on another beautiful hike. The weather was a little bit icky (wind, gray skies, a few raindrops), which was actually perfect for us. This hike was called Rattlesnake something or other. I didn't think much of the name until we were about halfway up the trail and I heard the shake of a rattlesnake tail. Eeeewwww, scary. I walked right next to it before we saw/heard it. Scott was behind me and threw a bunch of rocks at it so he could safely pass. I seriously hate snakes, especially ones that rattle.
When we reached the top, we were surprised at how high above the valley we were, because we only went 2 miles up. Isn't it so beautiful? We played around a little bit at the top (Bo ate rocks, we took pictures), and then hurried down, so we could grab a bite to eat before putting Bo to bed. It was such a fun way to kickoff our weekend!
On Sunday, we drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon and went on another little hike to a waterfall-it was more like a walk than a hike. There were beautiful wild sunflowers growing everywhere, so I picked a couple. I know, I am terrible. I love them so much. They are so cheerful!
