We had a fabulous 4th of July this year! After Scott got home from work on Tuesday, we drove up to Snowbird to enjoy the mountain air (unfortunately a bit smokey from the fires, but still wonderful and refreshing) and a mini vacation. It may be due to us renting rather than owning a home, but we love to get away every chance we get. We checked into our hotel room around 6:30 pm, and by 7:00 pm, we were already in the pool, splashing away. The below picture of Bo is probably one of my all time favorites. He is turning into such a big boy, and as always, he is such a happy boy. We love his big open mouth smile and beautiful blue eyes.
Bo goes to bed early, and requires quite a few naps throughout the day, so we got a room with a hot tub on the balcony. This was perfect, because we had something fun to do while Bo slept. This was the view from our hot tub. So beautiful.
On Wednesday morning, we woke up bright and early (thanks little buddy) and were out of our room by 8:00 am. We enjoyed a special 4th of July breakfast and took an early morning swim. We also enjoyed a tram ride up the mountain. Even with the smoke, the view from the top of the mountain was so beautiful. I love this land that we live on. Enjoying the scenery from the top of the mountain was the perfect activity to be able to reflect upon our many blessings as Utahns and Americans-we truly are blessed.
After our tram ride, we ate lunch at the resort, and then headed home for naps and dinner. We had a wonderful dinner (pictured above), and even did a few sparklers for Bo.
Happy 4th of July everyone!
