Eureka Part One: A Lovely Weekend at the Cabin

Bo and I spent the last ten days in Eureka, visiting my family. We had a blast. I thought ten days without Scott (He was in Alaska) might crawl by ever so slowly, but it flew by way too fast. Of course I am happy to be home with my sweet husband, but I am also sad to not be in Eureka anymore.

We spent Friday-Tuesday at our cabin, which is about 1.5 hours south of Eureka, in this itty bitty "town" called Eel Rock. Our cabin is right on the river and surrounded by a million beautiful trees. The weather was absolutely perfect swimming weather, so we spent the majority of each day doing exactly that.

In the evenings, we would eat dinner outside on the porch, go on walks, watch movies, read books, play games, pick berries, and ride the 4 wheelers. My little brother Benson took me on the best 4 wheeler ride. We rode over steep hills, on the train tracks, and through shallow parts of the river. It was such a fun adventure. The scenery was amazing.

Bo mostly loved the cabin. When we tried to lock him inside the house, he would cry at the door until we let him outside, which is why I say mostly, but besides that, he was my little trooper. He loved the water, the sand, the rocks, the 4 wheelers, etc. I tried to limit his sand intake, but by the looks of his Sunday diaper, I completely  failed.

I love my little blue-eyed boy!
