What do YOU do when the lights go out?

Last night, as the water on the stove started boiling, and the pans started heating in preparation for dinner, the lights flickered a few times, and then, as if they had no more life or energy, they turned off completely.

My initial reaction: Why couldn't this happen 30 minutes from now, when dinner is cooked and ready?

Scott's initial reaction: WooHoooooooo! We are going out to dinner!

We threw on our jackets and shoes, and headed out the door for a delicious meal at Red Butte Cafe. It was the perfect setting and menu for a cold rainy night. The french onion soup at Red Butte Cafe warms my body and soul from head to toe.

We figured the power would be on by the time we got home, but we were happy to drive into a completely dark and quiet neighborhood. Scott studies every night for the GMAT, but without power, he just couldn't study-what a dissapointment! We lit candles (Pumpkin Spice is my current Fall favorite), found our headlamps, and enjoyed a relaxing evening in the dark. Shortly after we arrived home, the power turned back on. Because we think not having power is fun, we turned off all of the lights, and pretended like the power was still off.
