Solids

The doctor recommended starting solids for Bo at his 4 month mark. I was excited to try some food, because I am a new mom, and trying food for the first time with your baby is fun, cute, exciting, adorable, etc. Everyone warns of the worsening diapers with the introduction of solids, but in my mind that is an easy price to pay for such cute pictures and funny reactions. 

Scott and I are not super impressed with everything that rice cereal has to offer, so we want to start on just veggies. I googled ideas for first time foods, and how to make baby food, and I learned that carrots are supposedly a great first food. Well, Bo hated carrots, and wanted nothing to do with them, unless he could play with the spoon, and occasionally suck on it. These pictures are a little bit deceiving, because he looks so happy in most of them. For the majority of the feeding, he was making faces of disgust and pushing out all of the carrots with the tip of his tiny tongue.The boy loves his picture taken, and will always flash his adorable little grin for mama's camera.
