Bacon Wrapped Turkey Kabobs

Scott and I have a tiny obsession with a local meat shop that is just around the corner from our house. Meier's Meat Market is a special place. They have an amazing selection of marinated and un-marinated meats, and the workers there are probably the nicest people you will ever meet. When you walk into the store, you will be asked by at least 5 different people if you have been helped yet, or if you have any questions. If you have a baby, the woman at the checkout stand will surely admire him and tell you over and over how adorable and sweet your little baby is. Once you have left Meier's, with entirely too much meat in hand, you will probably feel like you have 3 new best friends. As Scott and I always say as we drive away, Meier's Meat has something special about it.

One of our favorite treats to pick up from Meier's is the bacon wrapped turkey kabob. These kabobs are delicious. They are better than what you will be served at Tucanos and will make your mouth water. This week, I decided to make some of my own bacon wrapped turkey kabobs. They were a delicious success, and super easy. If you want to have an even better weekend than you already have planned, throw these babies into the mix.

Ingredients
1 package turkey tenderloin (Walmart carries prepackaged Jennie-O turkey tenderloin)
1 package thick cut bacon
salt and pepper

Instructions
Cut your turkey into 1 inch cubes
Salt and pepper your turkey
Cut your bacon slices in half
Wrap each chunk of turkey with a half slice of bacon
Create your kabobs (I think it would be delicious to add pineapple, zuchinni, etc. on the kabobs with the meat-I will do this  next time)
Barbeque the kebabs low and slow until turkey is cooked through and the bacon is perfectly crisped, but not burnt.
Enjoy

I do not have a picture of the final product, because once I smelled the deliciousness drifting inside from the BBQ, all thoughts of pictures/blogging/documenting were thrown out the window. The final product was beautiful and delicious.
