Eureka Part Four: Farmer's Market

My mom and I went to the farmer's market on the Arcata plaza. We had such a great time admiring the beautifully colored fruits, vegetables, and flowers. We also had a lot of fun watching the people. Arcata is a unique place filled with many unique people. The plaza seems to bring out Humboldt County's finest, like this guy:

This man had lime green scrunchies around his beard and was walking around with a big set of wooden drums. While at the market, I knew I wanted to capture a few pictures of the people, and when I saw this guy, I knew I was going to have to gather up all of my bravery and ask him if I could take his picture. He loved the attention, and then told me all about how he likes to play his drums to bring people together and promote peace. It was a lovely conversation. Good for him. The men below are also very typical of Arcata. I'm loving the lovely locks on the left.

Anyways, this is the final installment of my posts on my visit to Eureka. I had such a grand time, and although I don't think I will ever live in Eureka again, it sure is a wonderful place to visit!
