Silver Lake

Today, we enjoyed another lovely Fall drive. I think Fall is officially my favorite time of year.We drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon and then "hiked" around Silver Lake. The colors were amazing, as expected, and the lake was so cute. I wish we had a little canoe so we could paddle around in the water.

As we were walking around the lake, I saw a grove of trees (much like the trees in the picture above) that just had to be photographed. Scott went to take pictures, and as he had his eye behind the camera, a moose just happened to walk into the scope of his lens. YIKES!  He was very startled, obviously, and got out of there as quickly as possible, after snapping some great shots. That's my boy! I was so impressed with the closeness of the moose, considering he was using a fixed lens (aka no zoom).

  1. These pictures are gorgeous. I'm glad you got a picture with all 3 of you, do you have a tripod now? We did Alpine loop last night, but this lake area looks so amazing, we might have to check it out.

    1. No tripod yet, just a stroller that can double as a Tripod!
